Hamza Ma'ayergi

Hamza Ma'ayergi studied Physics at the American University of Beirut. He moved to the USA in 1980 and earned his BS (1984) and his JD (1989) degrees, from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut.

He has been in private practice for the last 17 years, handling a full range of immigration matters including employment-based, family-based, asylum claims and deportation defense, both at the USCIS and Federal Courts of Connecticut and New York. From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Ma'ayergi was Of Counsel at C.D. Munro & Associates, LLC. In this position he worked exclusively on General Electric employment-based immigration matters gaining extensive experience with various types of employment petitions such as L, H, O, E and labor certifications. Mr. Ma'ayergi also conducts real estate closings on commercial and residential properties, and provides a range of title services to firms across Connecticut. He manages foreclosure proceedings, title insurance matters, and corporate transactions. He is admitted to the Bar in Connecticut and he is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is fluent in Arabic and conversant in French.

Michael Witherspoon

Attorney Michael L. Witherspoon joined the Law Firm of Ma'ayergi & Associates, LLC, on April 3, 2006. Attorney Witherspoon is originally from South Carolina . While in college, he was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. He graduated in May 1998 from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor Degree in Business. During law school, he worked at the Law Firm of Loflin & Loflin which practiced criminal law. During the summer of 2001, he worked at the Law Firm of Kimmel & Kimmel, LLC, located in Norwalk , Connecticut . He was the 2002 Fourth Circuit Lieutenant Governor of Membership of South Carolina, North Carolina , Virginia , and West Virginia . He graduated in May 2002 from North Carolina Central University School of Law. He moved to Connecticut in the summer of 2002 and has been living here since. He has been practicing law since November 2002. Attorney Witherspoon practices real estate law, housing law, and immigration law. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the University of South Carolina Alumni Association .

Christopher Michael Brecciano

Attorney Brecciano has been a member of the Connecticut Bar and 2nd Circuit Federal Bar for the past two years. He joined the firm of Ma'ayergi and Associates in the summer of 2005 as a part of the growth and expansion of its real estate division into the tri-state metropolitan area. Prior to this, he worked as a real estate attorney for Riefberg, Smart, Donohue and NeJame in Fairfield County conducting closings for Cendant Mobility, the country's largest provider of employee relocation services to the private and public sectors. Attorney Brecciano received his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he was one of only three students honored at graduation for their excellence in clinical work. Attorney Brecciano received his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and has been a resident of the State for the past ten years.

Lauren Filiberto

Lauren M. Filiberto, Esq. is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and Fairfield County Bar Association. Attorney Filiberto received a Bachelor's Degree from University of Vermont in 1999 and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2005. While attending University of Connecticut law school, Ms. Filiberto was actively involved in public interest work and participated in a one year clinical experience with University of Connecticut 's Human Rights and Asylum Clinic. Ms. Filiberto also was awarded a Public Interest Law Grant, participated in an intensive Negotiation Clinic, and was the winner of University of Connecticut 's Alternative Dispute Resolution Society's Negotiation Competition in 2005.

Allen A. Currier, Of Counsel

Graduate of Hofstra University and New York Law School (1974). Member of the Bars of The Connecticut State Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Represented individual and business clients in Connecticut state (including appellate courts) and federal courts since 1984.
